ISABELLA EKLÖF
Writer/director
Isabella holds a BA in film Directing from the University of Gothenburg form 2007 and graduated as director from The National Film School of Denmark in 2011 with the film 'Notes From Underground'. In 2012 she received Bisballeprisen, a Danish art prize, for her work on the film. Eklöf also works with editing, screenwriting and translations to and from Swedish, English and Danish and she has published translations and short stories in Swedish. In 2018 she debuted as a feature director with 'Holiday', which premiered as part of the international competition at Sundance Film Festival and has since been selected for festivals like Gothenburg IFF, Moscow IFF, BAFICI, Jeonju IFF, Istanbul IFF, Melbourne IFF, BFI London among others. She co-wrote the screenplay for Un Certain Regard-winner 'Border' along with the film's director Ali Abbasi. She also directed episodes of television series The Servant (2021).
